Hi! I'm Katie (she/her) I'm a registered dietitian who supports you in finding food freedom and a nourishing relationship with your body while ALSO helping you be the healthiest version of you. Yep! I promise you can have both.
As someone with their own recovery story, I feel strongly about meeting you where you are and working within your capacity to facilitate gentle expansion. It took me 2 years to reach out for help – it’s really scary to take the leap. Just know that YOU are the driver of the bus here.
If you're struggling with feeling stuck in cycles of restriction and overeating, stressing about food choices, feeling like the number on the scale controls your life, or just tired of trying diet after diet, I’m here to support you. It's so overwhelming trying to navigate conflicting messages about what you “should” be eating.
In our work together, we’ll focus on what your body truly needs, finding simple and sustainable ways to meet those needs—without the pressure to be perfect.
You'll learn how to connect with your body, break free from diet culture, and find more ease and joy in your eating habits. No matter where you’re starting, I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward a healthier, more empowered version of yourself—one where food feels nourishing and enjoyable, not stressful.
Katie Schwartz is a weight-inclusive dietitian with a passion for helping individuals rebuild their relationship with food and body. Inspired by her own experience with disordered eating, she understands the complex emotions tied to food and body image. Katie’s background as a D1 softball player further fueled her interest in nutrition, as she learned the importance of fueling her body for athletic performance.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the College of Charleston and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Winthrop University, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She is Level 2 certified in Embodied Recovery and is licensed as a dietitian in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
Her approach is both compassionate and gently challenging, meeting clients where they are and supporting their growth at a pace that feels comfortable. Katie has a natural ability to sense shifts in clients’ nervous systems during sessions, inviting them to connect with their bodies when they are ready. Whether working with athletes, individuals with diabetes or PCOS, or those recovering from eating disorders, Katie personalizes each session based on the unique barriers her clients face, providing evidence-based nutrition support through nervous system regulation, meal ideas, or nutrient additions.
Katie measures success by her clients' ability to identify and meet their own needs, including nourishment, rest, and emotional well-being. She is dedicated to guiding clients toward sustainable nourishment and helping them live their most empowered, balanced lives.
